Daniel El-Bogdadi, MD, FACR

Dr. El-Bogdadi is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Studies from the University of California, Irvine, and his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete both his Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also served as an Instructor of Medicine.

Before joining Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, Dr. El-Bogdadi practiced rheumatology at Augusta Health Medical Center and Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, where he also served on the Board of Directors of the Augusta Medical Group.

Dr. El-Bogdadi is a former President of the DC Rheumatism Society and currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. He has also served as the Medical Director for the DC Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. His areas of special interest include Sjögren’s syndrome, and he currently serves as a Consensus Panel Expert for the Sjögren’s Foundation, where he has been a frequent invited speaker at national events.

At Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, Dr. El-Bogdadi serves as the Vice-Chair of Clinical Research and is also a participating physician in the Wellness & Weight Loss Clinic. He believes in a collaborative approach to care, empowering patients to take an active role in their treatment decisions. He is known for thinking “outside the box” of traditional medicine, with a particular focus on the impact of environmental and dietary factors in the development and persistence of autoimmune diseases.

Dr. El-Bogdadi has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” by Washingtonian Magazine for several consecutive years, as well as by Arlington Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine.

He is currently accepting patients at our Fairfax office (minimum age 14).
