Laura Robbins, MS, PA-C

Laura Robbins is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) originally from Minnesota where she completed her B.A. in Speech Pathology at the University of Minnesota.  Laura graduated from PA school at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. After graduation, she sought out a warmer climate and moved to Tucson, AZ. While in Tucson, Laura worked for an internal medicine/family medicine practice and enjoyed developing long-term patient-provider relationships. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Community Food Bank of Tucson. During the peak of the pandemic, Laura volunteered with a COVID-19 vaccine clinic and COVID-19 testing clinics.

In October 2021, she moved to Alexandria, VA and took on a nontraditional role as a PA at George Washington Medical Faculty Associates. In this role, she was able to work on clinical trials evaluating the use and safety of different medications for the treatment of COVID-19. During this time, she also worked on a mobile unit through an HIV Prevention Trials Network study. She and a small team helped reduce harm and prevent and manage various primary care conditions in underserved areas in Washington, DC.

Laura has been with Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates since 2023. She specializes in osteoporosis with specialized training through the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) as well as hypermobility syndrome. She sees patients with these conditions at the DC location on Mondays and Wednesdays and offers virtual visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She also serves as a clinician at ARA’s Medical Cannabis Institute.
