Sarah Yankson, MS, PA-C

Sarah Yankson is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) specializing in Rheumatology. 

She was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. 

Prior to PA school, she gained clinical experience working as a Registered Behavioral Technician, supporting clients with behavioral health needs, and as a medical scribe, assisting with clinical documentation for patients. 

Subsequently, Sarah completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, New Jersey. Through clinical rotations across multiple specialties, she developed a foundation in patient care and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. During PA school, she was recognized with the 2025 Outstanding Clinical Performance Award, honoring her excellence in clinical training and patient care. 

Her interest in rheumatology developed through clinical exposure to patients with chronic autoimmune conditions, where she was drawn to the diagnostic challenges, long term patient relationships and the opportunity to meaningfully improve patients’ quality of life. 

In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. 

Sarah currently practices alongside Dr. Adey Berhanu at ARA’s White Oak location.
